Well moving the blog anyway. Not that I don’t love wordpress, because I do. But I just would like to keep everything in one place. Dying Eggs

I don’t have permission to share any recent session just yet so I’ll share my past weekend. Last Sunday the weather was amazing so we decided to dye eggs…outside. A good friend I hadn’t seen in a while paid us a vist and joined in the holiday festivities. It was a good time had by all. Here are some pictures of our day.

This little one likes to fish the eggs out of the dye with his fist. And he only wanted to use green so by the time he was done he had Hulk hands. Wait till you see how he washed them off.

I’m not sure what it is she is doing here. But I think it’s funny.

And how cute is she?!!?

And this is the dogs cage. See the bucket? That is Missy’s water. I think they had more fun with the dog water than they did dying eggs. Silly little munchkins.

Face time

If you are free Saturday March 14th we would like to borrow your face. Tori (the make up artist) and I are working on expanding her portfolio. And we are looking for volunteers to get a make over and a few shots taken. It will take about an hour out of your day. She is interested in making over men too. So bring the family. Or get a few girlfriends together, we will even take a few group shots. Call or email me to reserve your spot if you are interested.

Hey ladies,

Exciting news, I have a make up lady!! Woo Hoo!!! I will be meeting with her this week to iron out some details. So when you book your appointment let me know if you are interested in having a pro apply your make up.

Also we will be needing a few volunteers to have their make up done and get a few shots taken for portfolio purposes. You will need to sign a model release. I will post more details on this later. But feel free to let me know if you are interested.

Another non photography related post. Sorry but I have yet to attain permission to share any recent sessions. But as soon as I do, I promise I will share.
So instead I will share with you another one of my new favorite things. Sometimes I like to buy a product just to see if it does what it says it can do. So I bought the new DoubleExtend Mascara by L’OREAL. The package says:
80% Visibly longer lashes
Long wearing
Smudge proof
Flake proof
Clump free
No need for make up remover, smudge free removal, only warm water needed for removal.

It all sounds so wonderful. Too good to be true.

So does it do what it says it can? Why yes in fact it does. Longer lashes, no racoon eyes, no flakes on the cheek, washes off clean with warm water. I slept in it and still woke up with full mascara and no smudges. Great stuff!!

This is going to be a short non-photography related post. Let me first say that this is not a product review blog. There are just some things in my life that I love and I want to share what and why. Today that thing would be my phone. I love it because it doubles as an MP3 player. And as I clean house I put on the head phones (in one ear so I can hear anything else going on in the house at the same time) and sing and dance around the house all day. It’s a good thing the only person around to witness this is my 2 yr. old. The reason I choose the phone over a radio is because on the radio you can’t hear a mix like this…

I am actually nervous

I have been shooting the occasional boudoir session for a few years. But recently decided boudoir is pretty much all I want to shoot. Well I have a friend coming over one day this week for her 2nd session with me. Last week I decided I need to be in the position that I ask my clients to be in at least once. So when her session is over she will be taking pictures of me. And I am actually nervous. The pictures you see of me on the site and my social networking pages, I took myself. With a wireless remote. And no it’s not easy. But there is no one else around to see me delete and start over when I don’t like something. All those insecurities that I tell everyone else to not worry about, it’s all about lighting and posing, and I can edit the rest. I know it, I promise it, yet I’m still thinking about what I’m going to wear and how they will come out. Not that I don’t trust my friend behind the camera, she takes awesome shots of families and small children. I think it’s handing over the button…to anyone. I guess we’ll see what happens, stay tuned I will share soon.

Boudoir Portrait Party Schedule update

My last open date for a BPP (Jan 31) is now booked. I am still booking parties but you won’t get the prints back in time for Valentines day. So if you are looking for boudoir portraits before Valentines day, we can schedule a private session on a weekday between 10 and 1. The next available date to book a party is Feb,28. Ahh a new year

Ok I know I am late with the new year post. I was very sick new years eve and new years day. And with the kids just going back to school today. I feel like today is the start of my new year. Back into the routine of everyday. But with a few changes, being a new year and all. I have some very interesting plans and ideas for this year. But I am only going to share a little at a time. In my last post I mentioned Boudoir portrait parties. Soon I will be posting more details on those. I’m going to try to post on this blog twice a week (instead of twice a month) whether I have pictures to share or not. The website will get a make over. I will upgrade some of my equipment. And that is just to name a few things I want to change. More updates later this week.

I still have Jan, 31 open for a Boudoir portrait party.
